Aitech awarded Hindustan Aeronautics Limited contract

Aitech>>>, a provider of rugged embedded computing solutions, has been awarded a $63 million production contract by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited>>> (HAL) of India>>>. This follow-on contract is for supplying mission-critical avionics computing solutions for India>>>'s Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) program. The agreement supports avionics systems for 156 helicopters and guarantees long-term production and sustainment of the Display Mission Computer (DMC) and related flight systems for the next five to six years. This partnership began in 2011 when HAL initiated the development of a next-generation avionics architecture. Aitech>>> designed and customized a CompactPCI-based single-board computer and graphics solution specifically for rotary-wing display and mission processing, providing continuous technical support and manufacturing for flight testing and certification.
