The Nigeria — Lagos State Police Command has successfully dismantled a child-stealing syndicate in Mowe, Nigeria, arresting a couple, Oluwarankami Kehinde Ugochukwu and Ugochukwu Mathew. The arrests followed a complaint on May 17, 2026, regarding the abduction of a four-month-old baby. Detectives tracked the suspects to their hideout on May 18, 2026, rescuing the stolen infant and two other children, one of whom was reported missing in 2024.
