Oyo_State regulates security groups

This action was prompted by growing insecurity and the increasing number of unregulated security groups, aiming to strengthen the state's security architecture. The order seeks to ensure proper coordination, accountability, and operation within a legal framework, preventing ethnic profiling and unlawful vigilantism. Seyi Makinde>>> also addressed the recent abduction of students and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area, assuring efforts for their safe return. Abiodun Aikomo>>>, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, explained that groups with more than five members must register within 72 hours, with enforcement by the Office of the Special Adviser on Security, the Commissioner of Police, and the Nigeria — Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps>>>.
