Synology Launches PAS7700 Storage System

Synology announced the general availability of PAS 7700, its first active-active, all-flash NVMe storage system, on May 21, 2026. The PAS 7700 is designed for mission-critical workloads, offering enterprise-grade performance, uninterrupted resilience, and optimized operational efficiency. It features dual controllers, 48 NVMe SSD bays, and can scale up to 1.65 PB of raw storage capacity. The system supports various protocols and delivers up to 2 million IOPS with sub-millisecond latency. It is targeted at environments requiring real-time data processing, such as virtualization, databases, AI, and VDI, across sectors like data centers, manufacturing, and healthcare. Bai Chongxi, Executive Vice President of the Synology NAS Group, emphasized the system's reliability and performance, validated through extensive real-world testing. The PAS 7700 also includes multi-layer data protection features like SED support, WORM folders, immutable snapshots, Snapshot Replication, and Hyper Backup, along with inline and offline deduplication to optimize storage efficiency and lower total cost of ownership.
