Seek Limited — Jobstreet released its 'Workplace Happiness Index: Philippines 2025' report, revealing that 77% of Filipino employees are happy at work, placing the Philippines second in the Asia-Pacific region, behind Indonesia (82%). The study, based on a survey of over 10,500 employed individuals, including 1,000 Filipino workers, found that purpose, career growth, and feeling valued are increasingly important drivers of happiness, often surpassing salary alone. Despite high overall happiness, the report highlighted challenges such as stress (only 41% feel in control), burnout (38% reported exhaustion), and concerns over Artificial intelligence's impact on jobs (41%). Career progression also emerged as a significant issue, with 55% of respondents frequently considering career changes due to dissatisfaction with growth opportunities. Dannah Majarocon, Managing Director of Seek Limited — Jobstreet in the Philippines, emphasized the evolving employee preferences and the company's aim to help hirers adapt. Julius H. Cainglet of the Federation of Free Workers offered a contrasting view, suggesting the survey might not capture the experiences of all workers.
