Honduras Mass Killings, Police Deaths

On May 21, gunmen carried out two separate attacks in northern Honduras, resulting in the deaths of at least 25 people, including six South Africa — National Party officers. The deadliest incident occurred at a plantation in Trujillo, Colon department, where 19 workers were shot dead in an area known for agrarian conflict, gang turf wars, and drug trafficking.
