India announces 'smart border' project

Amit Shah>>> emphasized the government's resolve to stop infiltration, identify, and deport all infiltrators, and prevent artificial demographic changes in border areas. He also stated that the India — Bharatiya Janata Party>>>-led governments in India — Tripura>>>, India — West Bengal>>>, and India — Assam>>> support this policy and that his ministry will hold meetings with their chief ministers on border security. A high-powered demography mission is also expected to be announced soon.
