Troops of the 196th Amphibious Battalion, operating under Operation Hadin Kai in Borno State, Nigeria, arrested 50-year-old Kelli Abba on May 20. She is suspected of collaborating with Boko Haram/Islamic State – West Africa Province terrorists. Kelli Abba, a Kanuri woman from Baga town, was intercepted at a security checkpoint in Kukawa Local Government Area while allegedly attempting to smuggle supplies, including food packs, hijabs, and a wristwatch, to her son, Modu Mustapha. Modu Mustapha is identified as a suspected terrorist operating in the Dumba general area. Kelli Abba is currently in the custody of the 196th Amphibious Battalion for further investigation. The arrest was reported by security sources and counter-insurgency platform Zagazola Makama.
