NCW Directs Tata Consultancy Services PoSH Compliance

The India — National Medical Commission (NCW) has directed Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to establish separate internal committees in all its 127 units with 10 or more employees within four weeks. This directive follows a hearing chaired by NCW chief Vijaya Kishore Rahatkar concerning alleged sexual harassment, exploitation, and religious conversion at the Tata Consultancy Services India — Nashik unit. The NCW raised serious concerns about systemic gaps in workplace safety, the absence of accessible HR infrastructure, and the lack of a dedicated internal committee for the India — Nashik office, among other issues. Tata Consultancy Services is also mandated to conduct comprehensive PoSH training programs and submit annual reports. Criminal proceedings related to the allegations will continue independently.
