Ondo Police Rescue 12 Kidnapped

The Nigeria — Lagos State Police Command>>> successfully rescued 12 passengers who were abducted by suspected kidnappers in Isua Akoko, Ondo State. The victims were traveling in two commercial Hummer buses from Nigeria — Benue State>>> to Nigeria — Ibadan>>> when they were intercepted by armed men in the early hours of Saturday. Following a distress call, the police, in collaboration with local hunters and other security stakeholders, launched a coordinated rescue operation, including bush-combing and intelligence-led surveillance. The sustained pressure led to the rescue of 12 victims, including the bus drivers, who are now receiving medical attention. The Commissioner of Police, Felix Ohagwu>>>, visited the scene and emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between security agencies and local communities to combat kidnapping. Efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining victims and apprehend the perpetrators, with additional tactical and intelligence assets deployed to the area.
