Gujarat, Meta Platforms Sign WhatsApp Services MoU

The India — Gujarat>>> government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Meta Platforms>>> to introduce WhatsApp-based delivery of approximately 20 citizen-centric government services. This initiative, led by Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel>>> and inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi>>>'s vision, aims to expand digital governance and improve last-mile service delivery across the state. Services such as grievance redressal, income certificates, caste certificates, EWS certificates, ration card updates, revenue records, and official affidavits will be accessible through a single WhatsApp number in India — Gujarati and English. The move is based on recommendations from the India — Gujarat Administrative Reforms Commission>>> and is part of the 'Sugam Digital India — Gujarat' initiative.
