This led to abnormal fee displays, fluctuating from Re 1 to nearly Rs 68,000. In response, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held discussions, resulting in the integration of four public sector banks (State Bank of India, Canara Bank, Indian Bank, and India — Maharashtra) as additional payment gateways. Experts from IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, and India — Digital India Corporation are examining the system to enhance security and integration.
