ENPO accuses Nagaland of FNTA dilution

The Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organisation>>> (ENPO) has accused the India — Nagaland>>> government of attempting to 'dilute the core provisions' of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA). The ENPO alleges that the state government has taken a 'U-turn' on commitments made during tripartite negotiations for the creation of the FNTA, a unique self-governing territorial authority with legislative, executive, and financial autonomy within India — Nagaland>>>. The ENPO views any modification to the signed MoA as undermining its essence and a betrayal of the people of Eastern India — Nagaland. The organization has convened a series of consultative meetings, including its Central Executive Council, to deliberate on the issue and decide its future course of action.
