Super Micro launches Intel Xeon 6+ servers

Supermicro announced the launch of 12 new server platforms optimized for Intel Xeon 6+ processors. These new systems, including Hyper, SuperBlade, FlexTwin, and GrandTwin families, offer industry-leading core density with up to 576 efficiency cores per server. The X14 platforms are designed to deliver breakthrough performance-per-watt and energy efficiency, aiming to lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and reduce power consumption in large-scale cloud and enterprise data centers. Charles Liang, president and CEO of Supermicro, emphasized the collaboration with Intel to achieve these advancements. The Intel Xeon 6+ processors provide significant performance gains, including double the core count, higher instructions per clock, more last-level cache, and faster memory support compared to previous generations. These solutions are optimized for cloud-native, virtualization, 5G analytics, content delivery, and throughput-intensive workloads.
