Salt Security Launches Salt Code

Salt Security has launched Salt Code, a new component of its Agentic Security Platform, designed to enforce security policies across the entire development lifecycle for AI-generated code. This solution ensures that code produced by AI coding assistants like Claude, Cursor, Microsoft — GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Codex, and Gemini CLI adheres to internal standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements from its inception. The need for such a solution is highlighted by statistics showing that AI coding is becoming the enterprise default, generating nearly half of all enterprise code, and that roughly half of AI-generated code introduces known vulnerabilities. Salt Code utilizes Salt Security's Posture Governance Engine to provide a unified policy layer, enforcing security standards during code generation, within CI/CD pipelines, and at runtime. This approach aims to shift security left, preventing vulnerabilities before they are written, and offers a continuous, policy-driven security model for agentic systems. The product is available immediately, with existing Salt Security customers receiving it at no additional cost, and a free Early Access Program for new organizations.
