Owo Doctors Strike Over Assault

Doctors at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo and its Akure Annex have commenced a 72-hour warning strike, which has become indefinite, following the alleged assault of a medical doctor by a patient's relative. The incident, described as the second attack on a doctor at the institution this year, involved the doctor being slapped and manhandled, with subsequent threats and attempts to track him down by individuals and alleged thugs.
