Nigeria's Nigeria — Ministry of Youth Development (Nigeria), in partnership with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture and supported by First City Monument Bank, has launched the Youth Agribusiness Land Trust Fund (YALTF). This initiative aims to address the challenge of limited land access for young agricultural entrepreneurs in Nigeria, providing them with training, mentorship, technology, business development support, financing opportunities, and market linkages. The program, championed by Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Abubakar Bagudu and Minister of Youth Development Ayodele Olawande, aligns with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda to empower youth and diversify the economy. The YALTF plans to train six million young Nigerians, support 500,000 youth-led agribusinesses, and convert 42 youth development centers into agribusiness hubs, ultimately enhancing food security and creating employment.
