The launch of the IQ platform by Robotiq is expected to positively impact the robotics and manufacturing sectors by making automation more accessible and efficient. This could lead to increased adoption of robotic Workcells, benefiting companies involved in industrial automation and potentially boosting productivity in manufacturing.
Robotiq introduced its new AI-enabled IQ platform, designed to accelerate robotic Workcell integration. The platform aims to shift from manual, expert-dependent integration to an automatic process by capturing unstructured project data, coordinating engineering workflows, and generating validated Workcell designs. Samuel Bouchard, CEO of Robotiq, highlighted that IQ will provide manufacturers with a clearer path to automation, leading to fewer surprises, faster decisions, and more predictable performance. The platform is currently available for robotic palletizing applications, with plans to expand to other robotic applications. Robotiq demonstrated IQ's capabilities at the Robotiq User Conference 2026, showcasing how partners can move from initial input to a running Workcell in as little as 24 hours.
