Vishay Intertechnology, a Fortune 1000 company, has launched a new 200 A power module, the VS-HOT200C080. This module is specifically designed for 48 V traction inverters in Electric vehicles (LEV) and belt-start generator/recuperation systems for mild-Electric vehicles (MHEV). The VS-HOT200C080 offers significant improvements by reducing board space requirements by up to 15% and lowering conduction losses by 32% compared to existing solutions, thanks to its best-in-class MOSFET on-resistance of 0.45 mOhm. The device integrates 80 V MOSFETs in a half-bridge configuration, a shunt resistor, bypass capacitors, and an NTC for temperature sensing, all within a compact, insulated FlatPAK HC0 package. Its transfer-mold technology ensures high reliability across a wide operating temperature range (-55 °C to +175 °C) and meets AQG-324 reliability requirements. Samples and production quantities are currently available with a 13-week lead time.
