DNV, Kongsberg Maritime standardize vessel data

DNV and Kongsberg Gruppen — Kongsberg Maritime have signed an agreement to enable the secure and standardized exchange of Operational Vessel Data (OVD) between Kongsberg Gruppen — Kongsberg Maritime's digital fleet management solution and DNV's Veracity platform. This digital integration, based on DNV's OVD interface standard and API technology, aims to reduce complexity for shipowners and operators by providing a controlled and scalable way to share vessel operational data. The collaboration is customer-driven, with Wisby Tankers AB already experiencing benefits such as improved data quality, consistency in reporting, and streamlined processes like voyage reporting and Bunker Delivery Note handling. The initiative is designed to support digital assurance services, operational insight, and future data-driven maritime services, ultimately improving decision-making across the maritime industry.
