However, the swift confirmation of negative test results by CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology and Gandhi Hospital mitigated potential market panic, preventing significant adverse effects.
A Sudanese passenger arriving at Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport was identified with a mild fever during thermal screening and subsequently admitted to Gandhi Hospital's Ebola isolation ward. Samples were sent to CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology for testing. The test results confirmed that the passenger was negative for Ebola. A second Sudanese national was also admitted for suspected Ebola, with their test results pending. Telangana Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha and Gandhi Hospital Superintendent Vani provided updates on the situation.
