The Edge Markets, a financial services company focused on gaming, crypto, and prediction markets, has successfully closed a $29.2 million Series A funding round. The round was led by CoinFund, with participation from Indicator Ventures, Mantis VC, StepStone Group, and Bullpen Capital. This funding will be used to launch EDGE Pro, a banking platform for market makers trading on CFTC regulated exchanges, and EDGE Connect, a payment rail for gaming and prediction markets. EDGE Pro aims to solve friction points for institutional capital by enabling real-time deposits, post-execution settlement, and margin integration. EDGE Connect is designed to reduce transaction costs and eliminate chargebacks for operators. The company's existing product, EDGE Boost, a VISA debit program, has already processed over two billion dollars in transactions.
