Orange Group has completed the acquisition of the remaining 50% stake in MasOrange from its joint venture partner Spain — Lorca for a cash consideration of 4.25 billion euros. This transaction gives Orange Group 100% ownership of MasOrange, allowing full consolidation of its financial results and enabling Orange Group to fully benefit from industrial and commercial synergies. The acquisition is a strategic step in Orange Group's 'Trust the future' plan, reinforcing its presence in Spain, which is its second-largest market in Europe. Meinrad Spenger, CEO of MasOrange, will join the Orange Group Group's Executive Committee following the transaction. MasOrange is currently the leading operator in the Spanish market by customer base, serving 26 million mobile and 7.1 million fixed broadband customers.
