The joint venture between Advent International and the Leali family to integrate Morgana Lefay into Marriott's portfolio is expected to positively impact Marriott's stock by expanding its luxury wellness offerings and market reach. This move could also stimulate growth in the luxury hospitality and wellness sectors, potentially benefiting other companies in these industries.
Advent International has completed a joint venture transaction with the Leali family, founders of the luxury wellness hospitality brand Morgana Lefay. This strategic move brings Morgana Lefay into Marriott's global portfolio, marking Marriott's first brand exclusively focused on luxury wellness. Morgana Lefay, founded in Italy in 2006 by Domenico Alcide and Liliana Leali, is known for its immersive resorts and proprietary Morgana Lefay SPA Method. The joint venture will own the Morgana Lefay brand and intellectual property, while the Leali family will retain ownership of the Italian real estate assets. Advent International will leverage its global development, sales, marketing, and distribution platforms to support Morgana Lefay's growth. Morgana Lefay properties will also be integrated into the Marriott International loyalty program by late 2026.
