The expansion of the ILHB series by Vishay Intertechnology is likely to have a positive impact on the company's stock price due to increased product versatility and market reach. This development could also influence the broader semiconductor and automotive industries by providing enhanced components for EMC noise reduction.
Vishay Intertechnology announced an expansion of its ILHB series of Automotive Grade multilayer chip ferrite beads. The updated devices now feature smaller case sizes (0402, 0603, 0805, 1008, and 1206), higher current handling up to 6 A, and a wider range of impedance values from 10 Ohm to 2700 Ohm. This expansion allows for greater flexibility in EMC noise reduction applications across various sectors, including automotive, industrial automation, home and building controls, computers, consumer devices, white goods, medical instrumentation, avionics, and telecom infrastructure. The product datasheets have also been enhanced with additional design parameters to simplify device selection for engineers. The AEC-Q200 qualified devices are RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and Vishay Green, operating over a temperature range from -55 °C to +125 °C.
