E.ON Limited and Nubank Inc. have executed a definitive Demonstration Plant Agreement for a Direct Galan Lithium Extraction (DLE) demonstration facility at the Green River Galan Lithium Project in Utah, USA. Under the agreement, Nubank>>> will lead the design, construction, and operation of its proprietary DLE demonstration plant at its own expense, aiming to validate commercialization of its technology for Green River brines. Nubank>>> will also pay E.ON>>> a facilitation fee of approximately USD $5.2 million. The demonstration plant is expected to commence operation in 2027 and conclude in 2028. This collaboration is seen as a significant step in de-risking the project and positioning Green River as a key participant in the emerging US domestic battery materials supply chain, with both companies exploring further commercial cooperation opportunities.
