Clip, Mexico's leading financial ecosystem, has launched Mi Clip, a new digital wallet ecosystem aimed at accelerating digital payment adoption and expanding access to formal financial services for millions of Mexicans. The initiative is supported by commercial and technological solutions from Clip's payment platform, Ant International's AI technology, Mastercard's global payments network, and TelevisaUnivision's media outreach. Mi Clip will offer digital wallet accounts for everyday payments, financial services, and inclusive credit solutions, addressing the fact that nearly 40% of Mexican adults lack access to formal financial services and 85% of small purchases are still cash-based. The platform is designed to support high-volume payment scenarios and will leverage transaction data and AI-driven insights to unlock credit opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses and consumers. Adolfo Babatz, CEO of Clip, emphasized the mission to empower businesses and consumers in Mexico, while Douglas Feagin of Ant International highlighted the global technology solutions and Alipay+ integration. Savannah Hernandez of Mastercard reiterated the commitment to expanding payment choice and financial inclusion.
