The launch of Winlevi in key European markets by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals and InfectoPharm Arzneimittel und Consilium GmbH is expected to positively impact Cosmo Pharmaceuticals, as it is the exclusive manufacturer and developer of the product. This expansion of availability for a first-in-class acne treatment could lead to increased revenue for Cosmo Pharmaceuticals and its partners, strengthening their positions in the dermatology market.
Cosmo Pharmaceuticals, through its subsidiary Cassiopea, has successfully launched its innovative acne cream, Winlevi (clascoterone 10 mg/g cream), in several key European markets. This follows the marketing authorization granted by the International — European Commission in October 2025. Commercial partners Glenmark Pharmaceuticals and InfectoPharm Arzneimittel und Consilium GmbH are spearheading the launches. Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has initiated direct launches in the Nordics, Central and Eastern Europe, and Spain, and through a strategic partner in Portugal. InfectoPharm Arzneimittel und Consilium GmbH launched Winlevi in Austria and Germany on June 1, with plans for an Italian launch in September. Winlevi is the first topical acne therapy in over 40 years with a novel mechanism of action, acting as a topical androgen-receptor inhibitor to reduce sebum production and inflammation without systemic anti-androgen effects, making it suitable for both males and females.
