The launch of Winlevi by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals is expected to positively impact its stock price due to the expansion of its high-margin specialty dermatology portfolio in Europe. This also benefits Cosmos and its subsidiary Cassiopea through their collaboration with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, supporting their global reach strategy.
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, through its subsidiary Glenmark Pharmaceuticals — Glenmark Specialty S.A., has launched Winlevi (clascoterone 10 mg/g cream) in key European markets for the treatment of acne vulgaris. This launch follows the International — European Commission's marketing authorization granted to Cassiopea, a subsidiary of Cosmos, in October 2025. Winlevi is the first topical acne therapy in over 40 years with a novel mechanism of action, acting as a topical androgen receptor inhibitor to reduce sebum production and inflammation without systemic anti-androgen effects. The product is approved for use in adults and adolescents aged 12 to under 18 years. Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has initiated direct launches in several European markets and is pursuing additional launches through strategic partnerships, marking an important milestone in its dermatology growth strategy and its first New Chemical Entity launch in Europe.
