An international law enforcement operation, supported by International — Europol and International — Eurojust, has successfully dismantled 'Audi A6', a major cryptocurrency laundering service. This service, which laundered over EUR 336 million between 2022 and 2025, was a key financial hub for ransomware gangs and cybercriminals. The operation involved parallel investigations by the United States — United States Postal Service, United States — IRS Criminal Investigation, and the Goa — Goa Police. On June 10, a coordinated action led to the arrest of two alleged administrators of Ukrainian and Russian nationality in Georgia. Authorities also searched three properties, took down 25 domains, seized over 30 servers, and confiscated over 80 vehicles and multiple properties in Georgia. Additionally, EUR 692,000 in cryptocurrency was frozen, and EUR 86,000 was seized. The clear web and dark web websites of 'Audi A6' and the 'Dark web' cybercrime forum, also administered by the suspects, were replaced with law enforcement seizure banners. The investigation revealed an industrial-scale laundering operation using thousands of fraudulent exchange accounts and Russian-speaking intermediaries. International — Europol linked 'Audi A6' to more than 15 investigations involving ransomware attacks and large-scale cryptocurrency theft.
