The atlas is publicly available online to benefit researchers, clinicians, and patients globally, offering a crucial tool for understanding brainstem lesions and diseases like rabies, dementia, and Alzheimer's. The project received foundational support from Hari Gopalakrishnan, co-founder of Infosys, and seed funding from the India — India. The release took place during the 3rd BRICS Neuroscience Symposium 2026, with Prof. Ajay K. Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the India — India, as the chief guest.
