The announcement was made at Eurosatory 2026 in France — Paris. Wahid Nawabi, CEO of AeroVironment, emphasized the system's ability to adapt to multiple missions and reduce risk to human life. Florian Grüner of Telerob Gesellschaft für Fernhantierungstechnik highlighted its immediate robotic capability in complex terrain. Weighing less than 10 kg, TOM 50 RE offers up to five hours of endurance, supports payloads up to five kg, and features SLAM capability for detailed mapping in GPS-denied environments. It also includes four high-resolution cameras with infrared and an IP-mesh radio for secure communications, functioning as a mobile repeater. Its modular architecture allows for mission-specific payloads.
