The Asia Dengue Voice and Action Group (ADVA) and five partner organizations from across Asia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance regional cooperation on dengue prevention and control. This agreement, announced at the 9th Asia Dengue Summit in Singapore, establishes a framework for knowledge-sharing, advocacy, and coordinated action against rising dengue risks. The signatories, including Philippines Empowering Networks to Defeat Dengue Coalition (END Dengue), Dengue Prevention Advocacy Malaysia (DPAM), Indonesia's Kobar Lawan Dengue, the Dengue Alliance, and the International Society for Neglected Tropical Diseases (ISNTD), will collaborate on public education, regional advocacy, and the exchange of outbreak insights. The initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of evidence-based strategies and move closer to the goal of zero dengue deaths by 2030, addressing challenges posed by climate change and urbanization.
