The Nigeria — Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) has announced its decade-long impact, revealing the disbursement of over ",15 billion to more than 20,000 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria — Lagos State. This initiative has led to the creation of over 320,000 direct and indirect jobs and preserved an additional 173,000 jobs. Executive Secretary Feyisayo Alayande highlighted the agency's success in providing access to finance, skills acquisition, market opportunities, and technology support, noting a remarkable 94.53 per cent loan repayment rate. The LSETF also supported over 82,000 small businesses with capacity-building programs and trained more than 30,000 young people. Future plans include expanding access to finance, deepening youth employment programs, and strengthening support for technology-driven enterprises, with the Lagos Employment Summit 4.0 scheduled for Q4 2026.
