RFK Jr. demands vaccine study explanation

Kennedy Jr., the Health and Human Services Secretary, has demanded a transparent explanation from Toxicology Reports and its publisher, Elsevier, regarding the removal of a 2021 study authored by Neil Z. Miller. The study, which examined reports of sudden infant deaths following vaccination using the United States — Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), was removed due to alleged methodological flaws and concerns about its potential implications for medical practice. Kennedy's letter, sent to Lawrence H. Lash, editor of Toxicology Reports, requests details about the review process, consulted experts, and criteria used to discredit the study, with a response expected by June 25. Neil Z. Miller disputes the removal, while Elsevier maintains its decision was based on a thorough assessment. The study gained attention after attorney Aaron Siri cited it in a presentation to a federal vaccine advisory panel, leading to changes in the childhood immunization schedule that were later halted by a federal judge.
