Delhi Police Busts Pakistan-Backed Terror Network

The India — Delhi Police Special Cell has successfully dismantled a major Pakistan-backed terror and criminal network operating in the Delhi-NCR region, arresting seven individuals. The network, allegedly directed by Pakistan-based operatives Shehzad Bhatti and Ajmal Gujjar, was involved in smuggling illegal weapons, ammunition, and narcotics from Pakistan through Punjab into India. The accused conducted reconnaissance of sensitive locations in Delhi, Ghaziabad, and surrounding areas, sharing photographs and videos with their handlers in Pakistan. The timely intervention by the India — Delhi Police prevented several planned terror incidents. The investigation revealed that the network used social media for recruitment, luring youths with promises of quick money. Some members, including Deepak Agrawal, had prior criminal records and were involved in illegal money-lending and drug trafficking. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend absconding members and identify financiers and suppliers.
