The Nigeria — Delta State Ministry of Energy issued an Invitation to Tender for projects including the construction of a 33KV Overhead High Voltage Line from Emevor through Otor-Owhe to Isoko Roundabout, rehabilitation of vandalized sections of the existing 33KV line between Iyede and Ellu, and reconstruction of a damaged 33KV power line from Abbi to Kwale 7.5MVA Injection Station. Additionally, plans include upgrading the 500KVA Independent Power Project substation transformer in Asaba to 1000KVA. These efforts aim to address years of power challenges caused by inadequate infrastructure and vandalism, restore stable electricity, boost economic activities, and enhance the quality of life for residents, aligning with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's M.O.R.E. Agenda and the Nigeria — Delta State Electricity Power Sector Law.
