The launch of Rohm's AG16xFNxx Series MOSFETs is expected to positively impact the automotive semiconductor market by providing more efficient and compact solutions for 48V power supply systems. This could lead to increased adoption of 48V systems in high-end vehicles, benefiting Rohm and its distributors like DigiKey and Avnet — Farnell.
Rohm Semiconductor has developed and launched the AG16xFNxx Series, a new lineup of 80V power MOSFETs specifically designed for 48V power supply systems in automotive applications. These new products, which began mass production in April 2026, offer lower power losses and enable downsizing compared to standard automotive MOSFET packages. They feature HPLF5060 and DFN3333 packages with advanced technologies like Gull-Wing Leads, Wettable Flank Technology, and Copper Clip Junction Technology for improved reliability and heat dissipation. The MOSFETs comply with the AEC-Q101 automotive reliability standard and are available for purchase through online distributors such as DigiKey and Avnet — Farnell. Rohm plans to further expand the product lineup, including the development of TOLG packaged products.
