A prosecution witness from the Nigeria — Economic and Financial Crimes Commission testified that Hadi Sirika awarded consultancy contracts worth N898 million to Tianaero Nigeria Limited, a company owned by his close associate Gabriel Tilmann, without following proper procurement procedures. The contracts were awarded before the Nigeria — Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development received approval from the Nigeria — Bureau of Public Procurement, and a subsequent contract extension was awarded without the Nigeria — Bureau of Public Procurement's knowledge. Tianaero Nigeria Limited, registered barely a year before the contracts, received full payment despite Nigeria never being successfully established. Hadi Sirika is being prosecuted alongside his daughter Fatima Hadi Sirika, son-in-law Hamma Jalal Sule, and Terminal Investment Limited. The trial has been adjourned to July 8 and 9, 2026.
