Striding AI, led by founder and CEO Song Yao, announced its plans to develop a new generation of robotic foundation systems. These systems are designed to accelerate the deployment of Physical AI in real-world environments by integrating advanced foundation models with robotic perception, control systems, real-world action data, and deployment infrastructure. The company aims to enable intelligent machines to perform tasks across commercial, industrial, and everyday settings, starting with structured environments like retail for tasks such as shelf restocking and inventory counting. Striding AI's approach emphasizes the continuous co-evolution of data, models, and infrastructure, and early internal testing showed a 3x improvement in task success rates using their human-in-the-loop RL method.
