Microchip launches DSA504RT clock generator

Microchip Technology has announced the launch of its new space-grade DSA504RT, a radiation-tolerant, six-output programmable clock generator. This device is designed to simplify timing architectures in aerospace and defense applications by replacing multiple discrete oscillators and buffers with a single, highly integrated chip. The DSA504RT offers ultra-low jitter performance and is compliant with PCIe Gen 1-7 standards, aiming to reduce Bill of Materials cost, power consumption, and design complexity for engineers working on spacecraft systems. Maamoun Abou Seido, vice president of Microchip Technology's timing communications group, highlighted the device's ability to provide a comprehensive clock tree solution for high-reliability applications.
