The release of the Anti-Scam Report 2026 by Bitget and SlowMist highlights the increasing sophistication of fraud in digital finance, particularly with the rise of AI and multi-asset participation. This event could increase investor awareness of risks in cryptocurrency and tokenized asset markets, potentially leading to more cautious investment behavior and a greater demand for robust security measures from exchanges. For Bitget, this initiative enhances its reputation as a secure platform, which could positively impact user trust and market share.

Bitget, the world's largest Universal Exchange, launched its third annual Anti-Scam Month initiative and released its Anti-Scam Report 2026, titled 'The Evolution of Fraud in the Multi-Asset Era'. Developed in partnership with blockchain security firm SlowMist, the report examines how fraud is adapting to changing investor behavior in interconnected financial ecosystems, including cryptocurrencies, tokenized assets, stocks, CFDs, wallets, and AI-powered investment tools. The report highlights that fraud campaigns are becoming more sophisticated, blending multiple narratives, social engineering tactics, AI-generated content, and communication channels. Between July 2025 and June 2026, Bitget's security infrastructure intercepted over 150 million malicious requests, identified more than 13,000 high-risk malicious IP addresses, handled 18,135 user protection cases, and supported the recovery of $32.3 million linked to security incidents. Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, emphasized the importance of understanding these evolving security challenges. The report details trends such as AI-generated investment personas, deepfake scams (including one impersonating Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides), voice-cloning attacks, synthetic investment communities, wallet-draining operations, and malicious smart contracts. The campaign aims to improve awareness and promote stronger user protection practices through educational content and collaborations.
