TrilliumBiO, LAM Foundation Partner for Diagnostics

Pfizer — Trillium Therapeutics, a leader in biomarker discovery and precision diagnostics, has announced a partnership with LAM Foundation to raise awareness and improve diagnostic pathways for lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM), a rare lung disease primarily affecting women. As part of this effort, Pfizer — Trillium Therapeutics has developed LAMair", a VEGF-D blood test for earlier identification of LAM, which is now available nationwide. The collaboration aims to address the frequent underdiagnosis and misdiagnosis of LAM, which often leads to significant delays in accurate diagnosis. Both organizations will work on educational initiatives for clinicians and patients to empower individuals, equip healthcare providers, and accelerate scientific understanding of LAM. LAM Foundation has a history of supporting research that led to the United States — Food and Drug Administration's approval of Rapamune, the first effective treatment for LAM.
