The Nigeria — Federal Ministry of Interior (Nigeria) and Nigeria — National Board for Technical Education, in partnership with Singapore's Institute of Technical Education, have launched a 10-day 'Train the Trainers (Pedagogy & Assessment) Programme' for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) instructors in Nigeria. The program, implemented in two cohorts for 120 teachers, aims to equip Nigerian educators with modern pedagogical and assessment skills, shifting instruction from theory-based to competency-based practical learning. Adebayo Onigbanjo, Nabila Mohamed, and Choo Poh Lian highlighted the program's goal to produce more competent instructors who can deliver quality vocational education and prepare students with industry-relevant skills, ultimately contributing to job creation, industrialization, and economic growth in Nigeria.
