Anthropic launched Claude Science, an AI research workbench for scientists, on June 30, 2026. The platform integrates databases, coding tools, and research workflows, pre-configured with over 60 scientific databases. Basecamp Research integrated its EDEN antibiotic and vaccine design models into Claude Science, enabling rapid therapeutic candidate generation. University of Pennsylvania researchers demonstrated 97% efficacy of EDEN-designed peptides against WHO priority pathogens. Anthropic also announced pre-clinical drug programs for neglected diseases.
