UBTECH Launches UWORLD U1 Humanoid Robots

UBTECH Robotics, a leading humanoid robot company, officially launched its UWorld U1 Series of full-size ultra-bionic humanoid robots at its 2026 Global Launch Event in Shenzhen, China. These robots, designed for mass production, are priced from 119,800 RMB and aim to provide companionship and emotional support, particularly for single individuals and seniors in China. The company has already received over 13,300 pre-orders, with deliveries scheduled to begin in September. UBTECH Robotics' CEO, James Zhou, outlined a vision for human-robot symbiosis, evolving the company from industrial to consumer robotics. The UWorld U1 Series features advanced AI, biomimetic skin, and emotion-aware large language models, capable of recognizing over 20 emotional states. Michael Tam, head of UBTECH Robotics' UWorld brand, emphasized the potential of companion robots to address mental well-being. The company also introduced the 'Human-Robot Companionship Initiative' to donate customized robots to vulnerable groups. This launch positions UBTECH Robotics to become a major player in the consumer robotics market, building on its existing industrial robotics success.
