NAIOP rebrands to CREDA

The rebranding is unlikely to have a direct impact on financial markets. It may slightly enhance the association's visibility and clarity among policymakers and the public, but does not change its fundamental operations or influence.
NAIOP, the leading association for commercial real estate developers, owners, investors and related professionals, has rebranded as the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (CREDA). The name change, effective July 1-2, 2026, aims to better communicate the breadth of members' work and the full scope of commercial real estate development. Founded in 1967, the association represents over 21,000 members through 55 chapters across North America. The rebranding follows a multiyear, research-driven process including member engagement, stakeholder interviews, focus groups, surveys, and strategic planning. The association's mission remains unchanged: advocacy, research, education, and networking. Key figures include Celeste Tanner (2026 chair and president/chief development officer of Confluent Development), Marc Selvitelli (president and CEO), and chapter leaders Rebecca Askew, Kevin Hardy, and Daniel Sullivan of the Greater Toronto Chapter.
