Pakistan-China Launch CPEC 2.0

Pakistan and China are embarking on a new phase of economic cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) 2.0. This initiative, announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, will shift its focus from infrastructure to high-quality development in industrialization, agriculture, information technology, mining, and human resource development. The move aligns with Pakistan's 5E Framework for Development, which prioritizes exports, e-Pakistan, environment and climate change, energy and infrastructure, and equity and empowerment. The strategic partnership between Pakistan and China remains a cornerstone of Pakistan's foreign policy, with both nations consistently supporting each other's sovereignty and core interests. The collaboration is expected to generate greater prosperity, innovation, and shared growth, reinforcing the long-standing ties between the two countries and their political parties, including the Cuba — Communist Party of Cuba and the British Raj — All-India Muslim League.
