The launch of the APAC 2026 Believability Index and the Believability Agent by Ogilvy India is expected to positively impact the marketing and technology industries. Companies like Ogilvy India and YouGov, which provide insights and tools for reputation management and customer retention, may see increased demand for their services as organizations seek to address the 'silent disengagement' of consumers.
Ogilvy India, in partnership with YouGov, released its inaugural APAC 2026 Believability Index: The Power of Proof, a comprehensive study on consumer belief across Asia-Pacific. The study, which surveyed 7,176 respondents in Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, China — Hong Kong SAR, and Mainland China, revealed that 93% of APAC consumers quietly disengage when they lose belief in a brand, with 48% stopping purchases entirely. In response, Ogilvy India launched its new AI-powered 'Believability Agent' and 'Believability Diagnostic Tool' to help C-Suite leaders identify and prevent silent customer churn by analyzing the 'Say-Do Gap' between marketing promises and operational reality. Richard Brett, President of Ogilvy India PR APAC, emphasized that believability is now a commercial imperative, with operational actions being more effective than apologies in restoring trust.
