The IPO filing by Ratnadeep Retail is expected to positively impact the company's valuation and provide capital for expansion, potentially increasing competition in the retail sector. The participation of promoters like Sandeep Agarwal in the OFS indicates a partial stake dilution, which is a common practice in IPOs.
Ratnadeep Retail, an organized food and grocery retailer based in Hyderabad, has filed draft papers with the India — Securities and Exchange Board of India for an Initial Public Offering. The company plans to use 260 crore rupees for setting up new stores under its Ratnadeep and National Mart formats, 40 crore rupees for debt repayment, and the remaining for general corporate purposes. Ratnadeep Retail operates 190 stores across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka, offering over 30,000 SKUs. Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors, Axis Capital Holdings, and DAM Capital Advisors are the book-running lead managers for the issue.
